Just who am I?!

Full disclosure, I’m not business journalist, business academic, or full-time business leadership consultant, but for over 35 years, I’ve established and managed large and small creative teams in a variety of companies in a variety of industries. I’ve also managed managers, had to manage MY managers, and worked and consulted with other managers. That’s a bunch of management activities which I am leveraging to inform my book, “Leading Without Losing Your Sh*t.”

In addition to having written both books and numerous articles and posts supporting creative professionals working in corporate environments, I’ve also spoken extensively in support of those professionals as well as developed various training programs including a LinkedIn Learning course.

My true bona fides (I prefer street cred) are that I consistently designed, created, nurtured and managed high-performing creative teams often operating in challenging and dysfunctional organizational environments. That included implementing both organizational an operational infrastructure – like all those big words?

Bottomline (as they say in the corporate world), I dealt with a lot of political and bureaucratic insanity having made plenty of mistakes but having learned hard lessons from those mistakes which I will now pay forward – incrementally of course.

Oh yeah - my name is Andy Epstein and I’m a middle-aged, middle-class, middle manager who lives and works in central New Jersey. Yo! Jersey rocks!
